Animal Origin: Tokens and Tools from Faunal Remains

April 1, 2021 – April 14, 2022

Animals are important cultural symbols throughout the world.  Some symbols do more than represent positive qualities, however.  Bone, fur, teeth, and hide can be used to enhance associations with powerful creatures.  By using materials of animal origin in their construction, the objects in this student-curated exhibit connect animals with people in surprising and intriguing ways.
