Themes of illness, health, and the body are approached differently by cultures around the globe. Religions, politics, and family structures create frameworks through which people understand the experience of being in their own bodies. The goal of this exhibit is to explore these ideas through 3D models of objects from the Lam Museum of Anthropology at Wake Forest University. By capturing images of these objects and digitally transforming them into 3D models through the technique of photogrammetry, we are able to resize, manipulate, or print them for greater accessibility and interactivity in museum exhibits.

This exhibit and the 3D models of the objects within it were designed, rendered, and edited by Annelise Witcher (’26) with the support of the URECA program. Special thanks to Dr. Andrew Gurstelle, the Lam Museum staff, the URECA program, Mike Shaw and Nicco for their videography work, and Lyndsie Schlink and Brent Piper for the photoshoot!
