July 28, 2-4pm

Adire cloth is a beautiful indigo-dyed textile created by the Yoruba people of West Africa. In this workshop, participants will see adire examples from the Museum’s collections and learn about the methods and techniques used by the Yoruba to create patterns and designs. Participants will use indigo to tie dye tote bags. Each participant may bring one additional item (i.e. a t-shirt) to dye. Colors other than indigo will also be available. This workshop is designed for ages 8 to 99. The fee is $20 per participant ($15 for Lam Museum members). Space is limited and advanced registration is required. Register today!
